Rerm 2 Week 3:
Back into Room 3 news.
We continue to be busy with Science Fair, maths, procedural writing etc.

This week Rachel Blois from Dunedin Teachers' College has joined us for a 2 week posting. She has been working with Reading and Maths groups and is going to be doing several photography sessions with the class.

Science Fair:
It continues to be busy but I am quietly impressed with some of the ideas that Room 3 are developing. Now we need to continue researching for background information and look at how we can write the information into our own words. By the end of this week I would like to see evidence of background research, an aim and a hypothesis ( what do you think is going to happen and why)

By the end of next week the method for the experiment should be completed and the actual experiment should be underway.

We are busy with our mega maths month. Remember we need to become faster and more accurate with our times tables. Our class average is 64%. I would love to see it increase to at least 80%. So practise, practise, PRACTISE!

Next week we begin learning and using our multiplication and division strategies.

Today we did the Floating Tea Bag experiment. It was very cool! On Friday we will do another science experiment. Look for some photos of our work.
